EO GSEA 2024: Fueling the Next Wave of Entrepreneurial Brilliance

The Entrepreneurs' Organization (EO) hosted the Global  Student Entrepreneur Awards (GSEA) semi-finals in the vibrant city of New Delhi on February 16, 2024. This event showed unwavering commitment of EO towards fostering the next generation of entrepreneurs.

The Evolution of GSEA: A Global Phenomenon

The journey of GSEA began in 1998 at the Richard H. Alfred School of Business at St. Louis University, encompassing participants from Canada, the United States, and Mexico. Over the years, GSEA has expanded its footprint, engaging with diverse cultures and penetrating new territories, including Taiwan, Moscow, Thailand, and South Africa.

EO stands as a global community fostering connection, growth, and shared learning among entrepreneurs worldwide. With a network spanning 78 countries and over 17,900 members, EO celebrates diversity as the cornerstone of its strength. Through initiatives like GSEA, EO offers a platform for student entrepreneurs to learn, network, and receive mentorship, nurturing their visions and propelling them towards success.

GSEA 2024: Elevating Student Entrepreneurs

The GSEA semi-finals in New Delhi saw participation from 40 startups, representing diverse industries and backgrounds. Eight emerged as semi-finalists, earning the opportunity to compete in the India finals. This platform not only provides recognition but also fosters growth and collaboration among budding entrepreneurs.

the South Asia Chapter of EO declared the 8 semi-finalists for the prestigious GSEA India to compete in the India finals of the EO GSEA India 2024. Hailing from diverse regions, the impressive lineup includes Pratik Raghuwanshi from EO New Delhi, Nishkarsh Srivastava representing EO Noida, Mitansh Khurana from EO Mumbai, Shubhangi Desai of EO Nagpur, Adnan Abbasi ABBASI representing EO Bhopal, Mosin Shaikh from EO Pune, Ayush Singhal representing EO Bangalore, Gopichand Anumolu of Navi Mumbai, and Rahul Khatri from EO Kolkata. 

The 8 semi-finalist startups were meticulously chosen representing various chapters of EO across the nation. Following a rigorous selection process, 15 judges deliberated during a day-long event where each participant presented their pitches. 

The esteemed jury panel includes prominent names including Jital Shah, Rajesh Joshi, Samrat Jain, Rikant Pitti from EaseMyTrip, Aditi Chowdhary, Vinamra Agarwal, Neil Agarwal, Advay Jhunjhunwala, Amarjeet Kaur, Hameet Sawhney, Sudeep Goenka, Arjun Nijhawan, Anant Kanoi, Vandana Seth and Sahil Jindal.

The GSEA India finals is set to take place in Bhopal on March 16, 2024.

GSEA's Impact Beyond Competition

GSEA serves as more than just a competition; it is a platform for giving back to society. Through mentorship programs and sponsorships, GSEA connects student startups with resources and support from the EO network. This collaborative effort strengthens the foundation of these startups, allowing them to focus on innovation and growth.

In the words of a first-time participant, "This was a special experience because I can see the standard of GSEA in South Asia going higher year by year. This year was phenomenal. This was actually my first experience with GSEA. I've never done GSEA before. I don't think I have any more words. I'm a fan of GSEA now."
