New Update

In today’s fast-paced digital landscape, video content is king, driving engagement, marketing strategies, and communication efforts for businesses across the globe. From product demonstrations to social media campaigns, videos offer an immersive and engaging way to connect with audiences. However, producing high-quality, studio-level videos has traditionally been a resource-heavy process, requiring time, expensive equipment, and professional skills.

This is where artificial intelligence (AI) steps in to transform the game. AI is revolutionizing video creation by automating complex tasks such as editing, rendering, and even personalizing content. With AI, the time, effort, and cost associated with producing videos are drastically reduced, allowing businesses of all sizes to create dynamic, professional-grade content quickly and efficiently. Whether it’s generating digital avatars, creating personalized video experiences, or streamlining post-production workflows, AI is making video creation more accessible and scalable.

To understand how AI is shaping the future of video production, TICE connected with Ritwika Chowdhury, a young entrepreneur at the forefront of this innovation. Ritwika is the Founder and CEO of unScript.ai, a platform that’s helping businesses automate and optimize their video creation processes. In this interview, she shares her journey, the inspiration behind unScript.ai, and how her platform is revolutionizing the way companies produce videos.

Breaking Down unScript.ai’s Mission

Founded by Ritwika Chowdhury, unScript.ai automates the creation of studio-quality videos with remarkable ease.

Speaking about her company, Ritwika explains, “We generate studio-quality videos for mid-market enterprises, mostly for their marketing teams. Creating a video takes time—days, weeks, and sometimes hundreds of people depending on the video. But with our platform, this entire process is automated.”

She highlights that unScript.ai doesn’t replace creators but collaborates with them by creating a “digital twin” or avatar of the creator, allowing videos to be generated based on a script.

“It’s their face, their voice, and their expressions—all digitally generated, yet looking like a real, human-made video.”

This innovative process enables businesses to create videos in multiple languages without the need for separate recordings. What’s more, unScript.ai allows enterprises to roll out highly personalized videos at scale, solving the major pain point of lengthy production times and high costs.

AI vs. Human-Created Videos: A Symbiotic Relationship

When asked about the impact of AI-generated videos compared to traditional human-made videos, Ritwika made a critical distinction: “It’s not about AI videos versus human videos; it’s about good videos versus bad videos. AI shortens the creation time, but the creativity and content are still driven by humans.”

This collaborative approach between AI and human creators is what sets unScript.ai apart. The platform reduces video production time from weeks to minutes and cuts down costs to mere dollars, all while maintaining the essence of human creativity.

A Solution for the Video-Driven World

Ritwika shares that the response from clients has been overwhelmingly positive, thanks to the efficiency unScript.ai offers. She points out that businesses must create a high volume of content to stay relevant—3.7 million videos are uploaded to YouTube daily.

“Creating videos is a hassle. You have to get ready, find a location, shoot, edit. With AI, we’re not only simplifying this process but also enabling businesses to generate personalized videos in real-time.”

Imagine being able to create one lakh personalized videos a month for a single product or service, all catered to individual customer needs. That’s the kind of scalability unScript.ai provides.

Standing Out in a Crowded Market

With many AI platforms emerging in the video creation space, what makes unScript.ai different? Ritwika emphasizes two core areas: the company’s focus on creating natural-looking videos and its commitment to compliance.

“We don’t do abstract or fantasy videos. We focus on creating digital twins of real people, making the avatars as lifelike as possible. Our videos need to look just as natural as someone speaking on camera,” she explains.

Moreover, unScript.ai is a B2B solution specifically designed for mid-market enterprises, where compliance is critical. The platform has stringent consent protocols, ensuring that creators’ avatars are used ethically and in line with all relevant regulations.

Navigating the Challenges of Compliance

Ritwika also shares her thoughts on the challenges startups face in navigating policies and compliance in the tech space.

“Compliance is tough but necessary,” she states. “It ensures the ethical use of AI, something I strongly support.”

While getting through the maze of regulations is not hassle-free, she believes that it fosters trust and helps businesses embrace AI without fear. As Ritwika points out, tools like ChatGPT have already transformed the way people work, and AI will only continue to make life easier—compliance ensures that this happens responsibly.

The Journey of a Young Entrepreneur

Ritwika’s path to entrepreneurship is as inspiring as her startup’s success.

“I was a research scientist before, but during my time at IIT Kharagpur, a mentor introduced me to AI. I got so interested in the field that I published papers, attended conferences, and even met the founding fathers of AI.”

Despite initially planning to pursue a Ph.D., Ritwika’s passion for making AI impactful in people’s daily lives led her down the startup route.

“I wanted to build something that people could actually use, something that could have a phenomenal impact.”

Looking to the Future

unScript.ai is growing at an impressive pace, and Ritwika has no plans to slow down.

“As long as we continue solving a big pain point for our clients—reducing the cost and time of video production—there will always be demand.”

She shares that continuous innovation is key to staying ahead in this dynamic field, as well as building a product that’s irreplaceable to customers.

Women in Tech: Breaking Barriers

When asked about her experience as a female founder, Ritwika candidly shares that while she’s often the only woman in the room, she doesn’t see it as a challenge.

“Of course, I would love to see more women in tech, but I don’t focus on the negatives. Most people in this industry see you as a founder first, not just a female founder.”

Ritwika closes the interview with some key advice for aspiring entrepreneurs. “First, just because you’re not raising funding doesn’t mean you won’t succeed. Plenty of great businesses have been bootstrapped. Second, network as much as possible. The connections you make are invaluable. And finally, don’t give up. The biggest reason startups fail is that founders give up too soon.”

unScript.ai is proof that with the right mix of innovation, persistence, and ethics, the future of video content creation is bright. We look forward to seeing how Ritwika and her team continue to shape the industry in the years to come.
