Netflix Cracks Down on Password Sharing, Tightens Account Access

Netflix has implemented a new policy where users can no longer share their account with people outside their household for free and will now require an additional payment of $7.99 per month for each additional member.

By transferring a profile from a previously shared account to a new paid membership, users can preserve their watch list and recommendations.

Netflix plans to utilize IP-mapping to track Netflix account usage, and any unauthorized usage will result in account suspension.

Good news for Indian users as they can currently share their passwords on Netflix as the platform has not yet implemented the rule against password sharing in India.
