IIT Ropar and Excelsoft Launch EdTech Lab to Innovate AI in Learning

In a significant stride towards revolutionizing the education technology landscape, Excelsoft Technologies, a leader in technology solutions for education, has joined forces with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Ropar to establish the ‘Prof. Dhananjaya Lab for Education Design and Creative Learning.’

This advanced research lab, named in honor of the late Prof. M.H. Dhananjaya, former chairman of Excelsoft Technologies, aims to spearhead research and development in the EdTech domain, particularly focusing on the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into teaching and learning processes. IIT Partners With Excelsoft Technologies

The collaboration between IIT Ropar and Excelsoft Technologies is set to reshape the future of education by leveraging AI to develop innovative solutions in assessments, proctoring, and education delivery. The lab will conduct in-depth product research, striving to create robust, scalable AI models that enhance existing learning and assessment products. Additionally, it will serve as a hub for blue-sky research, exploring novel ideas and technologies that can further elevate the education and learning ecosystem.

Leading the lab’s initiatives will be Dr. Sudarshan Iyengar, Head of the Computer Science and Engineering Department at IIT Ropar, who will act as the principal investigator. Mr. D. Sudhanva, Founder and CEO of Excelsoft Technologies, will serve as the Executive Sponsor, alongside a team of key contributors from Excelsoft, including Prashanth H M, Head of Corporate Strategy; Adarsh MS, Vice President of Growth and Strategy; Sridhar Joies, Associate Director of Learning and Proctoring Solutions; and Rahul Gautham, Lead AI Strategist. A dedicated team of PhD scholars, MTech, and BTech students from IIT Ropar will also play a pivotal role in advancing the lab’s research agenda.
