DesignX, a technology startup focused on driving digital transformation in manufacturing, has raised $1 million in pre-series A funding from Piper Serica Angel Fund. This new round of funding will enable the company to accelerate development of its Digital Factory Operating System (Df-OS) platform and expand into international markets.

DesignX’s Df-OS platform uses hyper-automation to boost efficiency on manufacturing shop floors. By integrating real-time data analytics, the platform supports manufacturers in sectors like automotive, FMCG, and consumer electronics, helping them optimise processes, reduce waste, and improve sustainability. DesignX aims to make modernisation accessible by offering a solution that minimises infrastructure costs.
Rajat Srivastava and Nishant Srivastava founded DesignX with expertise in engineering and manufacturing. The company raised an initial $300,000 in 2021 from Modular Capital, Accel, and industry veterans. With the fresh funds, DesignX plans to grow its Df-OS platform’s presence across APAC, Japan, and Europe, targeting manufacturers seeking data-driven tools to enhance operational efficiency and reduce environmental impact.

“Our journey from concept to a transformative product has been exciting,” stated Rajat Srivastava, CEO and Co-Founder. “This funding will propel our growth and allow us to demonstrate to the world what Df-OS can achieve in manufacturing.”
DesignX’s Df-OS platform has already seen adoption by companies including Unilever, Hero Moto, and Dabur. Currently in use across over 500 factories, it connects machines, manages processes, and streamlines production. With an established client base, DesignX now aims to further expand its market reach and facilitate CO₂ reductions in factories through optimised processes.
Ajay Modi, Investment Director at Piper Serica, highlighted the role of digital transformation in manufacturing. “India is on the verge of a manufacturing renaissance, and DesignX provides a flexible, cost-effective solution that aligns well with the industry’s evolving needs,” he said.
