Google has launched the second edition of its 'Startups Accelerator: Women Founders' programme in India to empower women entrepreneurs who are using technology to solve complex problems and make a positive impact on society.

The three-month programme will include workshops, mentorship, and access to resources and networks for startups across all sectors, including healthcare, education, finance, and e-commerce.

How Will Google Startup Accelerator Programme Support Women Entrepreneurs?

The programme aims to support women entrepreneurs in areas such as seeking mentorship and advice, hiring talent, and tapping networks for help to build confidence where cultural conditioning can sometimes create self-doubt.

Additionally, selected participants will receive support from experts and mentors both from Google and external networks in areas such as technology, product strategy, people, growth and fundraising.

The first cohort that recently graduated, included startups working on a range of innovative solutions, such as AI-powered diagnostic tools for healthcare, an app for menstrual hygiene management, a platform for rural artisans to sell their products online, and many more.

Participants to get Access to Google's Global Network

Participants in the 'Startups Accelerator: Women Founders' programme will also have access to Google's global network of mentors, investors, and industry leaders. The first edition of the programme was launched in 2020 and received over 1,500 applications, out of which 10 startups were selected.

The programme is part of Google's commitment to supporting entrepreneurship and startups in India. The company has also launched various initiatives such as 'Google for Startups' and 'Google Launchpad' to provide support, mentorship, and resources to startups in the country.

Applications Open until June 4
