Close on their heels are Taureans and Cancerians, each with 13%, while the fiercely determined Scorpios hold 10%. Sagittarians (9%) and Aquarians (7%) follow, with Libras, Virgos, and Leos sharing the spotlight at 7%, 7%, and 6% respectively. Surprisingly, Capricorns (5%) and Aries (a mere 3%) are playing catch-up. The Hurun list isn't just about wealth—it's a cosmic chart of entrepreneurial success!

Bengaluru Reigns as India’s Startup Capital with 29 Under-35 Millionaires

Bengaluru is cementing its position as India's undisputed startup capital, boasting 29 of the nation's wealthiest entrepreneurs under 35, according to the 2024 Hurun India Under 35 list. Notable names like Sushant Goel and Ayush Bathwal of Third Wave Coffee are making waves in this thriving hub. Outpacing Mumbai's 26 entrants, Bengaluru has secured its place at the top, with Delhi close behind at 21.

On the state front, Maharashtra leads with 33 rising stars, while Karnataka follows with 30. With 37% of these youthful entrepreneurs concentrated in Bengaluru and Mumbai alone, it's clear where India's startup future is being shaped.

Young Women Entrepreneurs Shine

At just 32, Isha Ambani of Reliance Retail and Parita Parekh, co-founder of Toddle, are among the youngest women featured in the 2024 Hurun India Under 35 list. Isha, the daughter of billionaire Mukesh Ambani, holds a key role as non-executive director at Reliance Retail, while Parita leads learning at Toddle, an innovative platform for teachers. The list, which spotlights 150 dynamic entrepreneurs under 35, celebrates seven remarkable women, including Mamaearth's Ghazal Alagh.

With 82% of the list made up of first-generation entrepreneurs, Hurun India's release highlights 123 trailblazers, proving that India's entrepreneurial landscape is as diverse as it is vibrant.

IIT Madras Leads the Entrepreneurial Charge, Financial Services and Tech Dominate

When it comes to producing entrepreneurial talent, IIT Madras is leading the pack, with 13 of its graduates featured in the 2024 Hurun India Under 35 list—the highest of any institution. Close behind are IIT Bombay with 11 and both IIT Delhi and IIT Kharagpur with 10 each, proving that these prestigious institutions are still hotbeds for innovation.

A notable 21 entrepreneurs come from financial services, while 14 have made their mark in the booming software and services sector, showcasing India's strength in both finance and tech.
